Between shuffling huge amounts of snow in Preisssac ( Quebec, Canada) and eating poutine (the most ‘interesting’ Q
uebecois meal (see picture (if you can eat more than one in a year – something is either seriously wrong with you – or you are a real Québécois or Québécoise)),- we have designed the Avee headset adapter for the Sony WH1000XM6.
The XM6 Avee headset adapter is fairly tiny, sturdy, and it is leaving room for the on off button on the headset.
And like all our headset adapters it is connected to the XM6 headset with our well-tested and proven magnetic solution.
The tiny circuit board inside the adapter is in production, and we are ready for the initial test production runs January 9th 2026.
We opened for orders of the Avee XM6 just before Christmas, and we see the orders coming in.
We plan to ship orders with the XM6 the second week of 2026.
The Avee XM6
In the screen recording in the video below you can see the XM6 headset adapter (without the microphone and the magnets)..
When we do the design in Fusion 360 of the Avee parts, we typically use colors other than the standard black color used for our adapters, and the reason for this is simple: it is way easier to see a light colored part on the screen than a black part.
In principle, you can get the Avee headset and aircraft adapters in almost any color.
However, we have decided to stick to the black color. For now! If you really want a different color, it does not hurt to give us a call ! If we are in a good mood (it happens occasionally ) – we can do it.
All our adapters have a timestamp and name indicating which product it is (like the XM3, XM4, and XM6, XLR-5, etc).
The video shows the initial XM6. We typically spend a day or two printing a bunch of samples and make tiny adjustments to get the best possible product.
Update January 15th 2026: The Avee XM6 is in stock !
